Ka haere mātou.
We (3 people, exclusive of listener) are going.
Scenario: Tama, Mere, and Tahi are going. Tama tells Whaea Mahinaarangi that they are going. He says "E Whaea, Ka haere mātou" which means "Whaea, we (3 excl) are going." Whaea knows that it is Tama, Mere and Tahi that are going and not Whaea, because he used the exclusive pronoun for 3 people which does not include the listener (Whaea).
