oti

to be complete, to be finished

I oti te hangaiatanga o te whare i ngā tāngata hanga whare.
The building of the house has been completed by the builders.
- this is an example of a stative sentence

Oti is used in preference to mutu when there is a sense of completion. If the builders had finished for the day and were to return tomorrow, we would use mutu.
