Kei te aha? Up to? (What are you up to / doing?)
Some dialects say this to ask how you are. To respond: remove “aha” and replace with the action, e.g.
“Kei te mahi” – I’m working. “Kei te pānui” – I’m reading.
“Kei te mahi” – I’m working.
“Kei te pānui” – I’m reading.
