Possession

The grammar of Possession is quite complex in te reo Māori.

First, you should become familiar with the a/o categories.

There are three broad types of possession:

1. T- possession
   
2. N-, M- possession
3. a, o possession (not to be confused with a/o categories).

All of these types make a distinction between the a/o categories.
